What: Canada Rings! is a new HMC Initiative where the same event happens simultaneously in different places across Canada

When:  November 6 (evening) and November 7 (daytime), 2026

Where: 4 locations across Canada

  • Kamloops, BC – Kamloops United Church
  • St Albert,  AB – St. Albert United Church
  • Mississauga, ON – Eden United Church
  • Ottawa, ON - Trinity Presbyterian Church

But what is it exactly? 🤔 Here are some FAQs...

What is a Clinician Swap? Canadian Clinicians would be flown to different parts of Canada to lead a location. For example, a clinician from BC could come to Ontario and a clinician from Ontario could go to Alberta. It will give conductors & ringers opportunities to learn from our talented Canadian Clinicians. It will also give our Clinicians opportunities to share their gifts across Canada.

Where do the Ringers go? Ringers register for the location closest to where they reside. Of course, if you want to travel to another province, that would be awesome too!

What happens on Friday November 6? Friday evening will be geared towards conductors, leaders and those people interested in moving into these roles. The visiting clinician will give a workshop, dinner will be provided, and there will be time for networking and socializing.

What happens on Saturday, November 7? Saturday is a day for all levels of ringers! This day will be a combination of 1 workshop given by the Clinician and A LOT of ringing. Each location will be assigned a composition to rehearse and record.

How will each location be connected? We are going to use the magic of technology - Social Media and videography. A post-event compilation concert will be created and debuted.

Where and when can I register for this exciting event? Registration will be centralized through the HMC website and will open in MARCH 2026. You will be able to register for the Saturday event only, or both Friday and Saturday events. Watch your HMC emails for updates and announcements.

Will there be a limited number of spaces? – Yes! Each location will have a set number of spaces that will be publicized.

Do I need to be an HMC member to participate? Yes! If you are not a member, please join our organization – a 1 year membership is only $10 - Membership
